Dr. My Nguyen
Medical Director & Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Orange County, California. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Behavior at University of California, Irvine and received her veterinary degree at Tuskegee University in Alabama. She practiced at a small animal practice in Garden Grove for several years until relocating to San Francisco in 2020. The areas that most interest her are soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology. Although all dog breeds are wonderful, Pomeranians are her favorite. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying all the restaurants that San Francisco has to offer and taking her dog hiking and glamping. She also loves playing tour guide when friends and family come to visit. She is also a proud plant parent and her favorite plant right now is the Ficus Elastica Ruby.
Dr. Sarah Inman
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Inman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She completed her undergraduate degree in Genetics and Biochemistry in Melbourne before attending veterinary school at the University of Sydney. She relocated to San Francisco with her husband in 2016 and worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Avenue's Pet Hospital in the Sunset before founding The Castro Animal Hospital & then Polk Street Animal Hospital. Dr. Inman’s particular areas of interest are surgery and diagnostic imaging as well as being an advocate for animal welfare. Outside of work Dr. Inman loves spending her time in the great outdoors whether it be hiking, cycling or skiing.
Dr. Mats Koelemij
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Mats Koelemij (pronounced 'cool-am-eye') was born in Holland but relocated to Australia as a small child. He was raised in Perth, Western Australia, where he also attended veterinary school at Murdoch University. After graduating he completed a rotating internship through Perth Veterinary Specialists in internal medicine, oncology and emergency and critical care before relocating to San Francisco in 2019. When he's not working Dr. Koelemij enjoys pina coladas & walks in the rain
Dr. Eden Hurlburt
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hurlburt was born and raised near Toronto, Canada. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at University of British Columbia in Vancouver with a focus on marine mammal conservation. She worked in veterinary emergency and referral hospitals before attending veterinary school at Tufts University. Dr. Hurlburt moved to San Francisco in 2022 with her fiancé and two Siberian cats. Her areas of interest are surgery, dentistry, and clinical pathology. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hurlburt spends her time hiking, biking, and taking naps with her kitties.
Dr. Tara Najim
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Najim grew up in the East Bay and then completed her undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology at U.C. Berkeley. She then went on to earn her DVM degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Najim completed a one year small animal rotating internship at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Her professional interests include internal medicine, cardiology, and preventative care. Outside of work, Dr. Najim enjoys hiking, backpacking, running, and reading. She currently lives in San Francisco with her grey tabby cat Leia & her Shih Tzu mix Lucy
Dr. Bella Rosen
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Rosen was born & raised in the Bay Area & attended Washington State University for her undergraduate degree where she studied Psychology. She went on to receive her veterinary training at UC Davis before returning to The Bay Area. Dr. Rosen is interested in preventative care, behavior and senior care. In her free time, Dr. Rosen enjoys playing ukulele, swimming and eating delicious food.
Jason
Practice Manager
Jason is a Bay Area native & has been a San Francisco resident for over 13 years, living in the city with his husband, Yorkie & four cats. He has 18 years of experience in the veterinary field working as a veterinary assistant & spending the last four years in the role of Hospital Lead Technician. Jason is currently completing his Certification in Veterinary Practice Management.
Veronica
Co-Lead Veterinary Assistant
Veronica is an Oakland native & has worked in the veterinary field for 13 years. She spends her free time watching movies or baseball games with her 14 year old son & is a supporter of the Oakland A's. She also has an 'out-of-control' 4 year old chihuahua called Rocky Balboa
Felipe
Veterinary Assistant & Surgery Lead
Felipe was born in Colombia & came to san Francisco 12 year ago. He has worked in the veterinary industry for over 4 years & his main areas of interest are dentistry and patient care. In his free time he loves hiking with his two crazy huskies, mountain biking and playing soccer for a semi pro team in the east bay.
Tia
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Tierra (Tia) has travel the world since she was born but has spent most of her years between SF & Hawaii. Her passion for animals started at a very young age, as she would try to save mice that were trapped at her old apartment, as well as feed & nurture the wounded feral neighborhood cats & kittens. After moving to Hawaii & volunteering at the Hawaii Humane Society, she made it her goal to become the best advocate for animals she could be. She pursued her goals at Carrington College where she studied to become an RVT & recently passed her VTNE.
Connie
Veterinary Assistant
Connie was born and raised in San Francisco. She received her B.S in Animal Science from UC Davis and is planning on going back to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. On her free time, she likes to play video games with friends and go to the park with her two Labradors.
Noah
Veterinary Assistant
Noah is a Bay Area Native & currently lives in the East Bay. He has worked in the Veterinary Industry for a year now & loves pursuing his passion for taking care of everyone's fur babies. Noah was a professional chef for 4 years & has one dog named Waya who enjoys watching him cook in his spare time.
Araceli
Veterinary Assistant (RVT Trainee)
Araceli is a San Francisco native who received her AS degree in Veterinary Technology in San Leandro and is currently on her journey to achieving her Registered Veterinary Technician license. She has been in the field for almost a year and loving it! She is also a proud pet sitter and mentee of tattooing. On her free time she enjoys skating, painting/drawing, hiking, going to alternative music shows, playing video games and writing songs with her boyfriend
Michelle
Office Manager
& Lead Client Service Representative
Michelle was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to San Francisco after receiving her BA in Political Science from UCLA. She worked in the hospitality industry for years as a concierge and chief concierge before deciding she wanted to work with animals again (her first job at 16 was at a pet store, taking care of tarantulas and boa constrictors). She worked at the SF SPCA for almost 2 years before joining the PSAH team. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys traveling, brunch, walking, and spending time with her tabby Piper and cross-eyed Siamese mix Teddy. She is a soloist at Glide Memorial Church and sings with her 10 piece band 3Day Weekend.
Blake
Client Service Representative
Blake is originally from San Diego, but has had the joy of calling LA, Charleston, and now SF as her home! She is new to the vet industry while she pursues a degree in social work. She has spent the last decade working in hospitality, specifically in the craft beer world, and most recently at Anchor Brewing where she earned the title "Treat Lady." She secretly worked there for the dogs, not the beer :)

Ashleigh is new to the veterinary world but has been in customer service for ten years. Ashleigh’s passion is making both the clients and their fur family happy daily. She has two cats of her own, Lucca and Squanch, who are both two years old. Ashleigh is also a professional makeup artist and spends her free time playing with makeup.

Client Service Representative
Darin grew up in New Jersey and New York, but found his home in California. He currently lives in San Francisco with his husband and son. Darin has always loved animals, but is new to the veterinary field. He is looking forward to learning and gaining more knowledge as he continues hiscareer in the field
